I've started a new project - Umber & Lily - and I'm not too sure where I want to take it. But the curiosity and enjoyment of this unsureness is exactly what made me start it anyway; the idea of not being set or resolved for a while feels quite liberating and beautiful - like a day of exploring somewhere new without a plan. This is how I paint after all, so why not embrace it for this project as well. So ..

Umber & Lily - Like exploring a curious and delightful new place without any plan
I am giggling at myself a little too with my seemingly behind-the-times approach. We have so many places to "share" these days and I'm using a blog. However ... last Sunday I spent a gorgeous moment in bed, tea & toast in hand (thank you Drew) devouring online articles from brands I love. The content spoke to me, and it was so lovely not to be a part of the ever-changing scroll.
Umber & Lily - for people who like to take in beautiful content at their own pace, with a cup of tea, and with a sense of mindfullness paired with joy.
As an artist I am attuned to beauty: From colors to words, moments, even feelings this is what my life and work are filled with (and inspired by). In life, Drew and I love to do, make, see, experience new things locally, nationally and internationally! I share these regularly through what I paint but sometimes I just want to share things I have loved throughout the process of it all. I've come to appreciate the ability of life's beauty to re-connect us... and at their centre a gentle yet present love. I feel it so often through my work, so why not share this love with you too.

And why Umber & Lily? A couple of reasons - sensual, balanced, a little curious, grounded yet light, his and her, and really just the name of a little place I'd like to visit.

There are so many things I am excited to share, but I'm gently navigating my way through what that looks like.
