CREATIVE CONTRIBUTORS

Hello

c493bfa2-d029-4dcf-82a2-7af77e445d51.jpg

If you’re reading this, it’s because we’ve specifically reached out to you because we’d love to sell your gorgeous work through Isbell & Co, and you’re curious about this adventure.

Below we’ve listed everything that you need to know / will need to do should you like to move ahead. And of course we’re here if you have any questions. Here we go ...

WHY HAVE WE CONNECTED WITH YOU?

Because we really appreciate your creative style and think your work is gorgeous. We also think that the Isbell & Co audience will feel the same way. This is because we know they value art and decor which is:

- Cosy
- Makes them love their space
- Unique
- Shares Quality Craftsmanship
- Has Character
- Offers a sense of Culture
- Feels like an adventure

WHAT WOULD WE LOVE FROM YOU?

Between 2-5 Original Artworks, that can be uniquely sold on Isbell & Co (i.e. currently not on display anywhere else) between November 2022 and January 21st 2023.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU TO DO THIS?

1. 1x Quality Image of each artwork. To us this means:

- 200 - 300 dpi
- As accurate as possible colour representation
- No obscuring, tilting, warping, blurring or pixilation
- Nothing but the artwork edge to edge artwork - or close enough. We can crop any excess
- Completely natural light (no unnatural yellow, red or blue tints)
- No “shine” on the artwork from glass or over exposure

Each photo you send should be named as follows:

YourSurname_ ArtworkName_HxW(CM PLEASE)_Medium_Price

The great thing is your iPhone or Samsung can take this photo so long as you’re in HD mode. Yay!

2. A Photo Of You (optional but preferred) - again please pick a photo that represents you as an artist, is of good quality and only has you in the photo.

3. Three to four sentences about you as an artist - you can share your artist statement or simply write a bit about your painting style, medium and inspiration.

By providing us with this content you will also be assigning usage rights to Isbell & Co to use these photos only for marketing purposes of your artwork, and only between the dates previously mentioned. You will own everything else about the artwork.

WHEN DO WE NEED ALL THIS BY?

As your work will be promoted for this upcoming holiday season, we will need this content no later than 15th September 2022.

HOW WILL YOU SEND IT TO US?

Please use https://www.wetransfer.com/ (the free version) to share a single folder with all images and word doc inside. FYI - You do not need to sign up for an account here. Just click “I just want to send files”.

Email to: thebrisbells@gmail.com

YOUR ARTWORK PRICING

Firstly - it’s not going to cost you anything to do this.

Secondly - you can price each artwork at whatever price you are comfortable with.

To cover our time, we will mark this price up by 35% and receive this cut for each artwork that sells - please don't include this mark up in the price you send us on your photo file.

SHIPPING FEES

Shipping fees are a frustrating part of this process and a little difficult to standardise but here’s the pricing model we’ve decided to run with:

  • Please include shipping fees within the pricing you give us.

  • The reason for this is that it helps add value to the experience over the holiday season, and makes things easier for everyone involved

  • As such, we don’t expect your artwork to be priced any less than $150 for 8x10

If you’re having trouble with this pricing model - email us and we’ll help!

SHIPPING OF SOLD ARTWORKS

As you own and have the artwork, it will be your responsibility to organise shipping of sold artworks to customers.

You will need to ship the artwork within 3 business days of receiving details about the sale.

To help with this, we have compiled a process for how to ship the artwork based on EVERYTHING that we’ve learned (that’s a lot). These instructions will be sent to you along with the Customer Information when an artwork is sold.

We will also send you some marketing material to include with the shipping.

ORDERS & PAYMENT

When your artwork sells, you will receive an email from us no later than 3 days after the day of sale. This email will include:

  1. Which artwork

  2. Customer/Shipping Address Details

  3. Instructions on shipping

Payment for your artwork will be taken via our online website system - this includes a payment fee (around 3%) which goes to the payment platform (not Isbell & Co). Worth it for the ease of what it brings all our lives.

Once the artwork has been delivered to its recipient, your payment will be sent to you via Direct Debit into your nominated Bank Account (we’ll get this information from you securely!)

Please allow 3-4 days for us to process this payment to you

You will be paid:

Your Price as Agreed Minus Processing fees (including any conversation rates).

Please note, this sale is considered a taxable sale so you will need to manage that on your end! Sorry.

OTHER GENERAL THINGS

You may work with other retailers/galleries with the exception of any work submitted to Isbell & Co for sale. This just avoids confusion and mixed marketing.

Given the work on our end that goes into marketing all our products (including yours) we do also ask that any customer who reaches out directly to you about an artwork that is on Isbell & Co, is referred back to us for the sale. Thanks!

Although we will promote your artwork through our marketing channels (Instagram, Facebook and Our Website), you will retain full ownership of the artwork and the artwork image you supply us with.

Should the art not sell, once it’s removed from our website (end of January) you can share/sell with whomever!

The originality, quality, copyright, shipping and maintenance of the artwork sold will be your direct responsibility.

Should you have any other questions please feel free to email us back. Otherwise please let us know if you're interested, and if so we look forward to getting your content by the 15th September.

xx Drew & Charlotte
